Actor Erik Biel, who was born in Freiburg, was awarded with the diploma by the Stageschool of Music, Dance and Drama, Hamburg.
His first stage engagement was a tour around Europe in English, followed by engagements at the „Stadttheater Landshut“, the „Oper Passau“, the „Burgfestspiele Bad Vilbel“ and the „Märchenfestspiele“, Hanau among others. His most memorable roles were Jack Worthing in the Oscar Wilde classic „Ernst sein ist wichtig“, Papageno in „Die kleine Zauberflöte“ (Mozart), Willi in the movie operetta „Die Drei von der Tankstelle“ and the character of the tailor „Mottel“ in the musical „Anatevka“, alongside Tony Marshall and Gunther Emmerlich.
Having finished his acting studies, Erik has been also engaged in movies and TV. In „Abenteuer Diagnose – Die Helden von Bern“ he personified the character of the corrupt Dr. Logan, who carelessly risks the health of the German national soccer players.
In addition to the TV series „Notruf Hafenkante“ and „Der Dicke“, Erik played a part in numerous short films like „Die Zeit die bleibt“ and „MAR-CO“, playing the main character in the latter.
